I purchased a personal computer from PC Expanders which supposedly had a 2 year warranty for parts and labor. A few months after buying the PC... I experienced a hard drive crash. PC Expanders cheerfully replaced the hard drive. However, the computer experienced problems with the video card, power supply, keyboard/mouse connector (motherboard), and monitor. Turns out the parts used in the original PC build might have been previously used or refurbished and they are second rate (cheap) parts.
Anyhow after a couple of more trips... The folks at PCE became nasty and started to tell me that the problems I experienced were my fault! I am a pretty experienced PC user! Finally they said that the warranty on my PC is no longer valid because they felt it was due to "negligence" that the PC kept "breaking". I dont think the technical person truly knew anything about what he was talking about. He became completely confused when I started to talk in technical terms with him!
I am very disgusted with this buying experience and I urge anyone NOT consider a personal computer from PC Expanders. Yeah they also offered free INTERNET with the purchase but that is a whole another scam. FREE for a month and then you start paying a very HIGH price!
Stay away!!
