I recieved a text from phone number 1-310-962-7619. The text claimed that I had won a $1000 Best Buy gift card. Because I have a Best Buy frequent shopper card, I thought it was legit.
There was an Internet address with the text, so I got on my computer and went to the site. After entering my "Winning Code", I was directed to a page that looked like Best Buy.
When I proceded through the prompts, I actually got to a page which directed me to buy two "offers" with the promise I would receive an email with a voucher. I bought two offers but never received the email.
Eventually biggerbidder directed me to a page saying I had 150 credits or points. On the same page, there was a form to have my $1000 Best Buy gift card shipped. I didn't fill out the form because I realized it was a scam.
