Was charged more than they said they would charge me!

I thought I could order my girlfriend some flowers for Valentine’s day this year. Now I have ordered flowers online before but I used FDT and 1 800 Flowers. I think these places are too expensive and charge way too much for what you get. So I did a search online for cheap flowers not because I’m cheap myself but, because I’m on SSD and that is my only income so I must watch where every penny of my money goes!

So I found go-flowerist.com on my search online…”BIG MISTAKE”

They pride themselves on being an American family owned and operated company. And only employs Americans. And they only affiliate themselves with American owned and operated companies. American this, American that…with Americans like this rip off company who needs enemies?

I found the company online and then ordered the flowers over the phone because I’m losing my eyesight from my diabetes.

I found these flowers for about $25.00 and I thought I could afford that. But after they added in the tax of about $3.00 and service fee of about $14.00, the total came to about $42.00. Oh yeah and when you order on line it says the delivery charge is 0 dollars. Yeah right.

Well $42.00 is how much the woman who told me her name was Kaila told me I would be charged on my credit card. So I told her it was ok, I could afford that much. At no point in our conversation was I told about their so called disclaimer (which is them actually telling you that you could be ripped off and however much they want to charge you extra and get away with it) that I could be charged $5.00 more because the flowers were so cheap and if they would charge me over $5.00 they would call 1st to make sure it was ok. And like I said before I can’t see too well so I ordered over the phone and I didn’t see this disclaimer or was told anything about it when I was ordering. If they would of told me this I would of told them to take the flowers and shove them where the sun doesn’t shine!

This company says they will charge you 1 price but then when your bank statement comes in you see you were charged more. They told me the flowers would be $42.00 and they charged me $52.80. They are very lucky nothing bounced in my checking account or I would takehis a lot further than the Better Business Bureau on them.

I gave them a month now to get back to me on this and I even gave them an email address if they couldn’t get through my phone because I only have 1 phone line and I’m online a lot and am still on dinosaur dial-up.

So I just called them today again and a lady there said they wouldn’t refund my money but they would give me a $5.00 credit towards my next purchase. I wouldn’t order anything from this company even if they were the last flower shop on this planet!

So I just told the lady fine, I’m just contacting the BBB and I’m sure I’m not the only consumer that they ripped off and have other complaints against!

I never heard of such a company saying they will charge you 1 price and then end up charging you more than what they said and get away with it. So if you want some good advice…stay away from this rip off so called American company go-flowerist.com and tell everyone else to also!

I’m very proud to be an American myself but I have integrity and I believe in treating people the way I want to be treated! I believe in a WIN WIN situation for both parties involved.
