I opened an ancestry.com trial membership and kept it open for 3 months. I then cancelled it. Just this month I noticed a pay pal account deducted $50 from my checking account but I made no purchase. I called my bank and they could not help me, but to say - there was another deduction in December from the same account. I contacted paypal and they informed me the account making deductions was ancestry.com. Obviously this upset me because I had cancelled my subscription with their service quite a while ago! Paypal promptly took ancestry.com off my account and promises they will not be authorized to make a deduction "again" but to get my money back I have to contact ancestry.com. This is very disappointing that this company would do this. I am warning everyone I know!
