My bank recently called me and asked whether I had made a debit card transaction from Mexico that charged $10.67. I was not anywhere near Mexico at the time. The bank suggested I cancel my debit card and they would issue a new one. I'm glad the bank was checking on this. The bank was so on-the-ball I have not yet received my monthly statement. I always balance my checkbook every month, so I would have eventually found the sneaky, unauthorized, charge to my account.
