I searched for some textbooks which were not available anywhere else on the web as ebooks but filebox. Tv claimed to have the exact same book. To be able to download the file, I needed to take a membership. I was suspicious and searched usacomplaints.com and found nothing. So I took the smallest membership of 3 days trial period with $1.99. During payment I was forwarded to another site called buypremiumtech.net
After payment I was asked to download a software for searching and downloading. I did as directed and when I searched for the text book, I couldn't find it. I couldn't find anything. So I uninstalled and did some googling and found some forums where people have reported being scammed. To top it off, this company was charging them $50 dollars or more for not cancelling during the 3 day trial. The TOC apparently states this, which nobody would have read. So luckily I cancelled my membership and requested refund of $1.99 as they didn't deliver what was promised. They are not registered in the US but Panama so no legal action can be enforced. I just lost my $1.99. Even thats a lot of money if thousands of people register. I just wanted to put this on usacomplaints.com so the next person is better informed.
