I bought Mcafee's Total protection suite with an annual subscrition on their website. The first time my PC got a virus I contacted their technical support, they looked at my PC through Webex and in order to remove the virus they wanted 90 dollars. Isn't this the purpose of anti-virus software, not to have these problems in the first place. Well their tech support said nothing can stop all virus' true so I paid up. Then about a month later it happened again,
I actually was stupid enough to pay for this twice, the third time it happened about 6 months later, I talked with a neighbor who seems to know a lot about computers, he actually fixed the problem for me and told me to get rid of mcafee. I removed mcafee and installed. It detected the virus first time, removed it and I haven't had another issue in the three months that it has been installed. Why pay for soemthig that doesn't work when you can get something that does for free?
Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company. Plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
