Integretel, Inc. Charged $40.00 to our monthly telephone bill for information and services received through 900-444-0324. Only two people live in our household and neither person made a call to this number.in fact, neither my wife or I ever make 900 calls, a family policy.
When I called Integretel, Inc. And explained what had happened, the representative indicated that our number was dialed by software at someone's computer using a program designed to select telephone numbers to use for 900 charges, etc.
She took the necessary information to effect a credit to our telephone company and indicated she had placed a block on our number to prevent it from being used by this software. (Time will tell if all of this comes to pass.)
I made my final call our telephone service, BellSouth, and explained the situation. They placed a 900 block on our number for no additional monthly fee.
