Mr. Zhang, name on shipping papers, Costas DVD sells pirated goods

I purchased a television series on DVD through Costas DVD through www.posthastetaste.com. From all appearances, the product is what I wanted. They promise to send me an e-mail with my receipt when the order is fulfilled.

Although the product was shipped quickly, the charge on my card was for a company with Beijing in the name. This concerned me. Plus, they billed me about 1% more than the agreed amount.in addition, there was a separate 1% international transaction fee. They have a phone number, 973-500-3122, which is in New Jersey.

When I received the product, in two packages instead of one, I really knew something was up. I opened one box to see what was in there. As others have commented, poor quality of the packaging was evident. It looks like they used 2 colors to print identical labels. The series is supposed to have 105 discs, but this came with the highest number of 117. The station ID is one the one I popped in my DVD player to see if it really worked.

I complained to my Credit Union to reverse the charge, but have limited time to turn over the product. From other comments about this company, it's not likely I will be able to send it back. Besides, this is contraband.

I've contacted the FTC, FBI, and NBC Universal (copyright owner). BBB can't take a complaint since they don't have a physical address in this country. My next step is to see if I can file a complaint with USPS.
