I tried simply to create an account. I initially used an American Express card. A meassage showed up stating "this company does not accept American Express." I then used my debit card but consistently received an error message. After entering my personal information over and over again, at least four times. I decided to give up on trying to create an account. Moments later, I went to check me email and noticed that I had received a message to click a an attached link to activate my account. After clicking the link, I got a second email thanking me for my purchase which was $169.00.
I was shocked, so a attempted to go to the Zbiddy webpage but have not been able to access it at all. When I click on the site, a receive an error message stating internet error. The error message further instructed me to try googling the site. I did this and strolled down to find this entry relating to fraud by Zbiddy. I sure hope that someone will prosecute this people if they are a fraudulent company.
I, of all people should have known better, and was very suspicious as well, when the site asked for credit card information up front. It appears that they are praying on accounts such as pay pal and debit cards as we have the least amount of recourse. If we would have used a credit would have been able to dispute this more effectively.
The same day, I created an account on another penny bid site and was able to purchase the amount of bids I wanted. They did not ask for credit card information up front. I actually had fun bidding on this particualr site.
