Kingston technology 512mb ram memory mail in rebate fraud!
People, please do not fall for this deception! Kingston Technology has comitted fraud I swear to god and has developed quite a scam around the U.S.
Details:
512MB 266Mhz PC2100 $15/$30 (Mail in rebate on RAM Memory)
Once you purchase the 512MB Ram Memory for your computer at the price of $75.00 dollars, you are to mail in the receipt and the proof of purchase that is on the RAM package so you can receive $15 AND $30 mail in rebate. That is a total of $45 dollar savings. So the memory will only cost you $30 dollars. You can purchase the RAM memory at any BESTBUY or OFFICE DEPOT store anywhere in the U.S.
NOW HERE IS THE FRAUD AND SCAM: After you mail in your rebate you will receive a notice in the mail approximately 2 to 4 weeks later stating the following:
"Dear Customer:
Thank you for participation in this promotion.
Unfortunately, we could not honor your request because of the following reason:
We did not receive an origianl UPC symbol or Proof-of-purchase tab with your request. (An original UPC symbol or proof-of-purchase tab is required.)
To resubmit for this offer please return this card or letter, with any items mentioned above, to the address shown. Deadline to resubmit is Jun 21. For status, visit www.rebatestatus.com."
Very funny KINGSTON scammers!!! TWO things here people, ONE they got my mail in rebate because i got their letter. TWO this card they sent me has no phone number! The WEBSITE ADDRESS leads me to an online card that looks like the one i have in my hand. NO ACTUAL WEBSITE!!! This thing in my hand is a flimsey piece of paper not even the size or width of a POST CARD!
PEOPLE - I swear I sent the Mail In rebate with the receipt that I got from BESTBUY. I cut out the UPC barcode (THERE WAS ONLY 1 UPC SYMBOL ON THE RAM BOX) and Mailed it in with all the nessasary receipts for the REBATE! SO WHERE IS MY MONEY???

People do you really think a company the size of kingston would really make this kind of mistake? They are claiming that they did not receive what i sent. They are saying i did not send it. Its not that someone miss filed or got my information confused, no its not that at all, they are actually saying that i did not give it to them!!! That is a bold face lie! And that also means they dont have to pay me now!!! Becareful of this scam people because not all mail in rebates are like this but kingston has commited fraud and should be prosecuted!!!
