ICollector, Showtime Auctions Mike Eckles, Daniel's Auction House Fraud online Auction House

Icollector is a fraud online auction house hiding behind a host of different corporations. I "won" some original Dali's, Van Gogh, Picasso's etc at a fraction of the estimated values, approximately 2% of icollectors professional evaluations. Dali's were going for $60 while appraised for $40,000-$60,000!

This was From Daniels Auction House, which is the new name, was Southwest Auction ad then Icollector.com

Once I read this is a scam I did not pay and now they are trying to ruin my credit.

Lets stop these bastards.

Fraud! I was the winning bidder on a lot in the Yagoda collection April. I bid on ebay and was declared the winner. Numerous communications to Showtime Auctions by telephone and email went unanswered. One month later a communication from icollector arrived telling me I was not the winner but that the lot went to a floor bidder. Showtime Auctions has a dismal ebay rating (below 97%) and probably would be worse if ebay did not remove my ability to leave negative feedback for this item. How many other collectors bidding on ebay had their winning bids negated in favor of a floor bidder? We may never know. I confronted Mike Eckles at a recent show. He claims the problem is ebay's mistake. I told Mike Eckles that I am a major collector (I bid one item up to $18,000- about $10,000 above the amount it would have brought) and that I would never bid in his auction again no matter what he was selling. Anyone with bad experiences with Showtime Auctions can email me at: @sbcglobal.net Thanks for listening.

1I'm glad to hear other complaints about Showtime Auctions. With most auction's you sitting at home, have no idea that the bid you see on the screen is what is actually the real bid in person there at the auction site, there's some trust and honesty involved in that type of business. With Showtime once an online bid is involved the final bid is not the real bid, if you've noticed just as the lot closes the real final bid appears leaving no time what-so-ever for the online bidder to bid again. What they are doing is inflating the bid to try and induce another bid from the person who is bidding on-line. This happened to me, I bid on an item, item went higher, didn't bid on item anymore, but a few days later they had said I won said item, I refused and what saved me was the bid history showed a few more bids above my final bid. They were tring to get another bid out of me but in this particular case it backfired on them. We'll see in their upcoming auction if the've had a revelation and won't be sticking it to us many that can't attend in person.

More;Hi, I joined a online auction site called icollector about 8 weeks ago. I bought 2 U. S 1/4oz gold eagles for just over $700 Australian from southwest auctions wich was being hosted by icollector.

After 4 more weeks had elapsed I recieved a email from the USPS stating that a parcel had been left and will be shiped to me. The parcel arrived 5 days later directly in my mailbox not requiring a signiture and when I opened it the coins were missing, thats when I noticed that the parcel had been cut open and taped back together.

I contaced southwest auction to tell them of what happened and to ask why they did not send them secure. They replyed that it was not there responsibility once the coins left the U. S and I Quote, how do we know you did not recieve the coins, unquote.in other words they are calling me a liar and a thief.

I responded by telling them that is was there responsibilty to ensure the sold items we delivered to the customer. Again there response was it is not our responsibility.

I contacted icollector next, they are the site that hosted the auction and they just ignored my emails. But they had gladly taken a 15% commision from my sale.

I'm at my wits end, I am only a small time collector with limited funds and the amount I spent on those coins set me back a couple of years worth of collecting.

Because I'm in Australia I am limited to what actions I can take.
