I was billed on March 29 for 119.90 for renewal of services to Ancestry. On May 1 I got my Visa bill for closing date April 27 and saw the billing. I called on the next business day, May 3 to cancel the service, only to be told that I could not. The representative told me that I had agreed to automatic renewal and since the billing was in March, and I was calling in May that there would be no refund.
To make matters worse, Ancestry in limiting access to the services I had signed up for by only allowing you to see a few records before disabling them, requiring you to sign back in and start over.
Do not support Ancestry and for sure do not give them your credit card number.
