I noticed, two months in a row, charges on my credit card that I did not recognize.investigation into the charges led me to find out that I have been the victim of identity theft.
The charges were for access to internet pornography. Through the internet billing company (who I am happy to say got those charges removed from my credit card) I was able to find out that the password for the porn that was illegally charged to my card was sent to [email protected]
Here is an e-commerce business that has employees engaging in identity theft. I have never done business with Interior Doors Direct. This criminal got my credit card number, name, and address some other way.
The police don't respond to these cases unless there are large dollar amounts involved. When I contacted the FBI they told me to call my local police department.
I would imagine that someone who bought my personal information to assume my identity is also capable of selling the personal information of his own e-commerce customers.
