SiteSolutions: SCAM or just lousy SEO Company

We can't say for sure if sitesolutions.com is a scam or not because it's hard to know what, if anything, they really did for us. What we can say, based on our experience as a customer, is they were without a doubt highly prone to making inexcusable mistakes over and over, wholly incompetent, and a lousy Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company.

Our Experience:
First and foremost, they gave us a contract to sign that says we will NOT request a refund on our money from our credit card company. That should have been a red flag, but we were lured in by a really good salesman who talks a good game about how Site Solutions was started by his father 20 years ago, blah blah, blah, and how Site Solutions has been awarded a Google certified company badge or some similar non-sense like that. Regardless of that, by signing their contract, we now have no recourse to get any money back from our credit card company, which was a hard pill to swallow being that we should have known better looking back on it all now. We have since learned this is the first sign of a company that has on-going problems with their service. We, for one, will never do business with a company again that requires us to sign a contract like this before starting work no matter how good they sound.

They never could show or prove to us they were doing what they said they would in terms of directory listings. They'll give you some links to articles they've posted, but you'll never see the backlinks they supposedly create for you and maintain on a monthly basis. Even 60 days into the process, they couldn't prove to they had us listed in a single directory even though they claim to send them to over 8,000 sites and check them monthly. After 60 days, We should have seen something on the Internet. We saw nothing but what we had personally done ourselves for SEO. It's now almost 180 days and still no directory links.

Article writing is a big deal in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and that's not lost on Site Solutions.in fact, that's a lot of what they do. The problem for us was their articles appear to be written by out-of-country individuals with poor English skills. They kept telling us it doesn't matter and the text is only for the search engines to find and help you rank better. However, WE DO CARE what the text says because those articles are seen and read by people and they reflect on our company.

Additionally, the articles submitted with our keywords were consistently wrong. Keywords are critical to your ranking and success. That's what we were paying for! Keywords that are misspelled or accidentally joined to form one word will render them and your article useless. After paying $99 per article, it was not a good thing for us to search them out and then find the hack job they did. They couldn't even get our name right in the articles for the first four months. What we've learned since then? You can get articles written for you on the web for $7 each, but it's better to write your own articles. It only takes about 30 minutes and then you can post it yourself. Do that once a week and save your money. They will tell you they write an article and then spin it to dozens of sites. OK, but Google looks for spun articles and unless the article is more than 50% different from every other spun article, Google will catch it and render it useless for all purposes.

We wasted A LOT of time making sure they did their job right because once we found one mistake or lie, we felt compelled to start look for everything else they might have done wrong. They were good a debiting our credit card on time, each and every time, but when we went to look for an article that was suppose to be posted to our social accounts; they weren't there. Then when we called to complain about it, the article was quickly posted a few minutes later and then we were told it was already done, but that it had been in website's queue or the posting date on that website was incorrect. REALLY?! One pattern we began to notice is when we complained about an article not being posted to a social site they claim to be so important in Search Engine Ranking, they would come back with an email telling us they couldn't access the site and then ask if we had changed the login or password? REALLY?!

The SiteSolutions.com website says we can call any time to speak with one of their SEO engineers. HA! The slick sales person I mentioned above, who does seem to be a genuinely nice kid, knows about as much as a 1-day seminar graduate and Crystal, who we're unsure of what her role is, knows even less from what we could determine after speaking with her. Just to be clear, these two individuals are extremely professional on the phone and via email and this is not meant to be an attack against them personally. The point is, we were never allowed to speak with anyone when we asked, so we can only assume they don't actually have anyone who's an expert. Ironically, their poor service has actually made us somewhat experts on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and I think Site Solutions was perhaps afraid of all the questions we were preparing to ask them.

The site says and we were told over and over again that 90% of all customers get a first page ranking on Google. That sounded really good on the phone and was definitely exciting when we considered it a possibility. However, it's been six months and we're no where near it, so I guess we were one of the 10%. Makes us now wonder how many people have become part of the 10%? Unfortunately, that contract where we signed our rights away has now come back to haunt us.

For us, the bottom line is Sitesolutions.com has a lot of problems within their ranks that stretch from Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to accounting and billing taking money out of our account after they were suppose to have taken us out of the billing cycle. Their SEO articles were over-priced, poorly executed, and riddled with keyword errors too frequently to be effective. Their 8000 directory listing was unproven and a complete unknown for us after all these months. Our experience with this Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company has been costly and a complete waste of six months. We understand positioning for Google and other search engines can be hard work and can't be guaranteed. Our problem with SiteSolutions.com is not the results, but more with the horrible service and constant mistakes over and over again. Even after speaking with the owner and receiving multiple apologies, we were only offered over-priced articles free of charge, but never a refund. Even after mistakes were made again after the owner got involved Site Solutions wouldn't even agree to a partial refund for all the time and money wasted.

Is sitesolutions.com a SCAM? You decide.
