It was easy to cancel Boingo

My son-in-law used my credit card to use Boingo's wireless network at an airport on the East Coast. He was on his way to Afghanistan, and wanted to video instant message with my daughter. Unfortunately, for some reason he was actually signing up for a subscription with Boingo. Whether that was obvious when he did it, I do not know. I wasn't there. Today I noticed that Boingo has charged my credit card $9.95 for the last 3 months and so I called their 800 number to see if I could get it cancelled. After seeing all of the complaints about them online, I was ready for a long wait and "the run around". I was on the phone for a total of 5 minutes and 39 seconds with "Megan" and not only had a cancellation confirmation number, but she said they are going to cancel the last charge to my credit card. Since it was so easy, I thought I would give them credit for being more customer friendly than what I had read on the internet.
