Consulting will rip you off, Don't do business with them unless you are looking to get ripped off

Unless you are already rich, never take a chance with your career to work for Ajilon. Ajilon played the bait and switch game with me. They will bait you with lies to recruit you to there firm, and switch to a different game, if there scam does not work. If anything happens on the project, Ajilon will not follow through with there promises.

Ajilon is a technical consulting firm that owns offices throughout the US and was recently acquired by Adecco. I submitted my resignation to my permanent employer based on comments from a recruiter at Ajilon.

The recruiter in Minneapolis, MN told me don't worry about anything, if you are released or out of work for any period of time for any reason, Ajilon pays your salary, and will put you on the bench with pay for your full salary and benefits until another position comes along.

When I submitted my resume, the junior Ajilon recruiter asked me if I had certain experience, I told her no, I don't. The junior recruiter stated, well even if you have had exposure to the environment that's all the client wants, I consistently told her as we reviewed the job requirements what my expertise was and she consistently insisted that I shouldn't be concerned, just put down "exposure to", you are covered under the bench period if any issues arise until place you on another project.

I started the new project at American Express and worked eight day before being released. American Express felt I didn't have enough experience. When I spoke with my recruiter regarding the bench period, she stated, well there's more bad news, the branch manager said we are releasing you today, so there is no bench period. I encourage you to talk with him about the bench period. The junior recruiter obviously knew what the branch manager was doing was wrong.

I spoke with the senior recruiter, she stated, "well it's days like this that make me wonder what I am doing working for Ajilon". The senior recruiter who was well respected at the firm, resigned from Ajilon within days of making the statement to me and my experience with Ajilon.

I spoke to other people who confirmed that what Ajilon is doing is wrong, there are people who have been on the bench period for months for whatever reason.

The junior recruiter stayed in contact with me for three months, and promised she would submit my resume to firms and that I should have something soon. Almost four months later another project became available at American Express, I interviewed and the manager offered me the job, but by that time I had secured my own position.

I was then threatened by Ajilon's district manager of being sued if I worked for American Express through another consulting company. Can you believe that? If I was terminated from Ajilon, and they refused to pay the bench period, how could they then say, you can't work for American Express through another organization? It is obvious, the only reason I was terminated was to keep from paying the full bench period. Yet they continued to communicate with me regarding other positions from the point of termination until another job was located. I was even interviewed for another podiyion at American Express, where I was offered another project.

Ajilon plays the bait and switch game, do your home work and get everything in writing if you ever do business with them. If Ajilon can't put it in writing don't believe anything an Ajilon recruiters states to recruit you. I argued with them and got paid for a little over two weeks, in comparison to the 15 weeks pay that was owed. I was jipped out of $9600.00

I have a sick dad who needs 24 hour care and my mom is responsible for all the bills, she retired with a very small pension. So I help my parents whenever I can. This was a nightmare to say the least, I lost so much sleep, I was under so much stress, I was in another state away from my family and could not afford to pay my bills. I spoke with the corporate office with the corporate human resources manager for all of Ajilon, she also refused to honor the agreement.

If Ajilon conducts business in this fashion with me, I wonder how they handle there other business contracts. Ajilon has atleast 30 offices. I am interested in finding out if anyone else has comments about business issues that have arose at Ajilon.

I have the names of the branch manager, both recruiters, the dates involved and the human resources manager. I communicated with Ajilon via email atleast six times regarding this incident and I have communicated with Ajilon's Human Resources manager, who refuses to resolve this issue. Can you imagine what Ajilon would do to outbid a competitor to get a large contract?
If they would lie to me and cover it up, why wouldn't they lie to you?
Please email me at [email protected] or call me at 1-770-620-0338.

Respectfully,

Barbara Jones
