Major fraud, major ripoff El Segundo California

I placed an order for two CD Roms on December 7. I needed them BY Christmas to give to my son as a Christmas present. I never received any kind of confirmation email with shipping or delivery information, so I didn't know when to expect the package.

I gave it the standard 7-10 business days but still received nothing. I called the 800 number on the website but all you get is a recorded message asking you to enter an extension, then you get disconnected. I tried back several times and used different tactics but was unable to reach a person by phone. I also called the local number but got the same recording and same result. So I settled for sending an email since I had no other choice.

I got no reply to my first email so I sent another one a few days later on December 29. Mind you Christmas had already passed and I'd given up on the idea of surprising my son with his new software.

In the email I asked for the order status as well as an explanation for the bogus phone numbers. I received a reply the next day, December 30, from a "Michelle Copeland". Her email stated that one of the items, Jump Start 2nd Grade, was back ordered and I "should have" received an email informing me so. That same non-existent email also asked if I wanted to cancel that item off my order and ship the other software title.

I was aggravated that I was never informed about the back ordered CD Rom. I emailed back and told her that I wanted BOTH items and I would wait for Jump Start but to go ahead and send the other CD Rom. She replied back and stated she would send it out that day and would also ask her boss when they would be getting Jump Start.

Several days passed and once again I hadn't received any kind of confirmation email. I sent email after email asking for a delivery date but they were ignored. On January 16 I sent an email to Michelle asking where my stuff was, that I was never given a delivery date, and never heard back from her. I also expressed my exasperation and advised I would never do business there again. This was her response that I received on January 19, copied and pasted from her email:

I'm sorry. I have no idea what has happened to this order. It shows it still being in shipping. It should have shipped a long time ago. I am really sorry. I haven't been in the office.

Do you just want me to issue you a full credit?

Now you tell me if that wouldn't enrage you to no end. Also my debit card was billed not for one but for BOTH items, NEITHER of which have arrived at my door!

Needless to say I sent a nasty email to her back advising her to cancel the order and of course I want a credit! I stated that they are incompetent and a bogus company, and that I was telling everybody not to EVER do business with them. I would have preferred to have the items for my son which is why I didn't cancel after the first email, but if they were going to play games and not deliver anything then give me my money back!

I am terrified that I will spend years fighting to get a credit back and never get a dime. I'm also scared because these morons have my credit card information and obviously make their money by scamming people. The whole operation sounds like maybe one or two people in a garage or something.

I want to thank those of you who took the time to read my story. The nightmare isn't over yet so I will post updates as they come.in the meantime, DO NOT EVER go to dealdealdeal.com!!!
