I signed up for an advertising / listing account with a very small monthly commitment and a maximum limit for "click through" from their site to mine. This was placed on auto-billing to a credit card. After several months I noticed that the click-through count suddenly spiked and that I was being billed substantially more than the maximum authorized. Further, downloading the performance logs showed that I was being billed for many more "click throughs" than were present in the logs.in addition, the origin of the spiked traffic was from a couple servers registered to this marketing firm. It appears to me that Verizon - ideal. Arc SuperPages had created an method of artificial income enhancement for their benefit. I canceled my service with them and requested a rebate. They countered by refusing to stop charging on the auto-pay credit card. The charges continued until the credit card company changed the card number.
