My husband and I were online looking for cool Christmas gifts for each other. I have always wanted a pair of those light-up shoes they make for little kids, but never found adult sizes.
We stumbled across this website called eliquidmotion.com that claimed they had "glow" shoes where a small light stick is inserted into the sole of the shoes to make them glow.
I was exstatic they had adult sizes and still had shoes in stock two weeks before Christmas. My husband proceeded to "check out" by paying for the shoes and an extra pack of the light sticks. The entire gift including shipping and handling was $73.48.
The site used Paypal to debit the money from our account and we were to receive the items in time for Christmas, but they never showed up.
In an effort to contact the company regarding the shipment, I went to the contact page on the website. Listed on it were four email addresses, a phone number, an address and a fax number.
The phone number has always been out of service, my fax was never responded to, and two of the four email addresses were invalid and my emails were returned. The other two I never heard back from.
The website had a small link that went to another website called eravegear.com. This site sells exactly the same things, but more. They had a small link at the bottom saying they do business as eliquidmotion.com
After reporting them to the FICC, conducting an investigation with Paypal and spreading the word to everyone I know about the fraudulent sites, eliquidmotion.com now no longer exists. However, eravegear.com still does and the contact information listed on that site are also out of service!
Do not fall victim to these people as we were! We were duped out of $73.48 which we will never see again, and our trust in ecommerce will never be the same. Please spread the word!!!
