Rip off total waste of time Won't resolve problem Doesn't have phone number to contact

I am VERY unhappy with Ebay's services. I did not use Ebay often, but because of my past experiences, I will not use Ebay again.

I have used Ebay's services about 20 times (20 transactions). Out of those, I have had three problems that were not resolved and were not looked into by Ebay.

The first incident occurred when an Ebay user won an auction of mine. The user had purchased a cell phone from me and paid me $100 for it through PayPal. After I received the payment and shipped the phone, Ebay and PayPal contacted me and told me the user had paid me with a credit card that he or she was not authorized to use. Then PayPal initiated a hold on my account in the amount of $100 (the amount of the phone).

I withdrew all funds from my account and PayPal did not receive the money back from me. Why should I lose a phone PLUS $100 because SOMEBODY ELSE paid PayPal with a fraudulent credit card??? I never saw the credit card or the name/number on the card, so how would I know if the credit card was being used properly??? I believe PayPal should have contacted the person who used the credit card and tried to get the money back from that person and report them if necessary. I realize PayPal was the one to try to get the money back from me (not Ebay), but Ebay promotes PayPal all over the place and both blamed me for the incident and tried to collect money from me because of it.

The second incident occurred not too long after the first. I purchased an $88 pair of shoes on Ebay. I paid the user through PayPal and I paid an extra $15 for "Express" shipping. Ten days had gone by after I had paid for the item and I had not received it yet. I contacted the seller and he said he still had not shipped it out but when he did, he would ship it out using ground shipping, which only costs $7. I do not believe it was fair to pay $15 for "express" shipping for an item that is not even sent out 10 days after I paid for it so I left the seller a negative feedback on Ebay. Because of that feedback, the seller never sent me the item, nor did he give me a refund. Neither Ebay nor PayPal would refund any of my money.

The third incident occurred about two weeks ago. I auctioned a phone on Ebay (this time I did not accept PayPal as a payment option). A bidder won my auction and told me he would mail my payment to me in the form of a cashier's check. Two weeks later he decides that he does not want the item and will not pay me. I left him a negative feedback, which of course, prompted him to leave me a negative feedback as well. That was the last time I will use Ebay.

I believe I do not deserve a negative feedback on Ebay just because I gave somebody one. I think that is a MAJOR FLAW with Ebay. If you give somebody a negative feedback, you are 99.9 percent of time going to get one yourself, regardless if you deserve one or not. Ebay cannot and will not remove the feedback unless they legally have to, which is hardly ever. Ebay is basically there to take your money and charge you listing fees, but when there is a problem they will not look into it for you. There is not even a contact phone number listed on their web site. (http://pages. Ebay.com/community/aboutebay/contact/index.html)

Ebay does not want to spend money on hiring people to answer phone calls so they just do not give you a phone number to call! I am SOOOO tired of trying to get Ebay's members to pay for an auction for an item they bid on. This is unacceptable and I do not see how Ebay has become so popular. If you have never used Ebay before, please take my advice and avoid using it. If you have and do use Ebay, do not expect Ebay to assist you if you ever have a problem. I do not care how "convenient" Ebay's services might be. I have been ripped off by them one too many times and I will not use their services again.
