Everything the lady previously stated is true. The same thing happened to me. Tons of mistakes, he only copies other websites, and gets an attitude if you ask him to correct it. Here's some of the "professional emails" I received from him: (Keep in mind I had previously paid him $1500 for another website which was screwed up and that's why he said he'd do this job for $400)
Me: This website has not been designed at all. Basically it's a front page half done with everything else copied from somewhere else. It's been 2 weeks and I REALLY REALLY need this website done right. I'm trying not to get upset but this is disappointing. The free forms link should not even be on the page. Only in the backend of the website. The color of the site is too dark. We really would like some color other than black, maybe sand? The logo is not big enough nor does the color go with it. Look at the business card I sent to you before and look at the colors. I also gave you all the information from our MLS system to link the listings real time with the website. Why am I not able to import listings? I do not have time to do them by hand. I expressed conversion on the first page was very important to me. There's no conversion tools on the first page. Him: If you want, I can refund your $400 and close em down. $400 means nothing to my bottom line. I see 3 sites a week at full price $1300 $1800 EVERY TIME I cut someone a break on price and try to go over and above (two sites. $400) I get my butt handed to me. Let me know and I'll refund you in the morning..
Me: Yes please refund it. And point my domain back to godaddy.com. I need at real website.
Him: you got it.
Me (the next day): Has the refund been done?
Him: Yep. Refund was done yesterday. It'll probably take 5 days to show on your card. So what I'll do is resell my work and get it to the top of the search engines for Beaumont Real Estate so you'll always see what you left on the table for $400 everytime you do a search for Beaumont Real Estate... Or you can just say. "Sorry. Actually, it was pretty good for $400 Lets get going again" Wayne Bienek

Him: ;) Yep. When people treat me like a 'clerk' I get a little bent out of shape. And yes, it has gotten me far to be a "Soup Nazi" with people who dont appreciate what they get for the money. Its like if someone sold you a Porsche for $800 and you complained about it Again, we'll see what you get for $400 ;)
