Talarion.com was my ISP which in April 01 was taken over by Global Net Business Solutions aka GetGlobal.com at 99 Main St/Lincoln, NH... I first came in contact with Global Net during the takeover when their VP Jim Gowan DISCONNECTED MY SERVICE WITH NO PRIOR NOTICE because i called in disgruntled... Fortunately a top notch tech support person, James Dorr, later saved the day by reconnecting my service and delivering my faxed letter describing the customer service debacle to CEO Kevin Masse. Shortly thereafter Jim Gowan left GLobal Net which i regarded as a positive sign... I continued working with James Dorr though technical problems (primarily undeliverable emails) until he left in October...
On Friday Oct 26th i called Global Net to find out when service would be back up and spoke with Ron Fitzgerald who DISCONNECTED MY SERVICE while falsely accusing me of being a "BAD CUSTOMER"... Background info: i was given free service for several months due to the Jim Gowan debacle and my first GLobal Net bill was dated Sept 29 which i tried to explain to Ron Fitzgerald who refused to listen... At the end of the conversation, Ron Fitzgerald asked for my credit card to which i replied 'i prefer to pay by check which i will do immediately and you will receive in about 4 days' to which he refused and continued threatening to cut off my service. Finally realizing i had no choice i said "ok i'll give you my credit card" to which his unbelievably adolescent not to mention BAD BUSINESS reply was 'NO, YOU WOULDN'T GIVE IT TO ME 5 MINUTES AGO SO I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT NOW'... And he disconnected my service immediately...
I advise all to NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GLOBAL NET BUSINESS SOLUTIONS as their business practices are egregiously unconscionable...
