Back In December Evony began pushing the sale of their Christmas Package by stating a FREE Chest would be given to the purchaser's friends:

These Chests are presented to you as FREE gifts when your friends purchase the normal Christmas Package. You will receive a random assortment of Chests by open it with a Special Christmas Chest Key.

Now, the DECEPTIVE part of this campaign was when the person receiving the FREE Christmas Chest went to open it, they were then notified they needed a "special" key to open the Chest — and that key would cost the purchase of a $30 package! NOTHING FREE was given.in fact, I have almost 30 of these "FREE" Chrismas Chests that cannot be claimed because I have NOT purchased $30 to receive the key to open the FREE Chest.
Evony then started promoting a NEW YEAR'S PACKAGE with the same concept. However, due to MULTIPLE complaints they added the following:
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: This offer is valid only to new purchases, new AutoCents subscribers or AutoCents renewals of a single transaction of $30 or more during this period. Offer is valid now and ends on March 23rd. You can only get one Dream Truce item and send one to one friend for every single $30. To open Special New Year Chest, you must have a Special New Year Chest key. Special New Year Chest keys are obtained through a single transaction of $30 or more in New Year package during this period.
NO COMPENSATIVE was given to anyone who received the FREE Christmas Chests.
