I bought a template for 63 dollars from Templatehelp.com. Apparently they are affiliated with Templatemonster.com. After purchasing a template from them, I got a call from a guy with a heavy (Brazillian?) accent to confirm that I purchased it. He was curt and direct, and hung up immediately after me saying yes. This was the first warning of the types of people I would be dealing with.
Then I open the template up and look through and to my disappointment it needs a TON of work. I understand this is a template and it's only a bare version, but it is not worth anywhere close to $63 dollars worth of coding.
I knew immediately I made a grave mistake when ordering from Templatehelp.com. I talked to their customer service which in short was very slow, unresponsive and most of all, rude. It's like they were trying to bully me into giving up on the refund. Finally they give me the run around to talk to a person called Liam Turnhill. Emailing this person has been a huge waste of time. I repeatedly asked for a refund but he/she completely ignored my requests. They wanted to offer me another template or credit for future purchases.
What is another template worth to me or credit if I don't want anything from their company?
Google Checkout has also been very useless with this issue. They keep going back to their merchant refund policy which is total crap. It basically states that once you give them your money you will never see it again. Yet they also state "100% Customer Satisfaction". So which one is it, Templatehelp?
I buy things off the internet all the time. This is not a first time by any long shot. I am so displeased with this I will stay away from any merchant using Google Checkout. Consider this, if they can't use a real credit card processor, it's probably some bloke running a "business" out his studio apartment in Brooklyn.
