Okay... So I feel really stupid... But this is what happens... Surfing the internet and find this site about google profit... (has nothing to do with google... Found that out later) says that this marketing program can produce extra income and has been seen on ABC, NBC, CNN etc. Also with the google header I thought it was ligit. Wrong. So i go and give my name, email address, phone number and CREDIT CARD info because it is going to cost me 1.97. So i do this... They also suggested that i get Google Library. So I go thru the same procedure and sign up for that... 1.97. Within 5 mins I get a local call from someone confirming that i purchased this online... I said yes and they put me on hold and never came back... That's when I knew there was a problem. I go back to the site where I signed up and checked it out real good and at the bottom there it was... TERMS AND CONDITIONS: I just enrolled myself into 6 different internet... Oh what should I call them... Scams. For the GOOGLE PROFITS it stated that i would have a $99.00 fee for a cd they were going to send me then every month after that they were authorized.By Me to charge my credit card 47.50 if i do not cancel withing 30 days. Also I enrolled in EBAY MONEY RESOURCE CENTER and they would give me 7 day trial then after that would charge me 7.71 each month. Under the GOOGLE LIBRARY I just enrolled myself into I had a 5 day trial then they would charge me 84.84 and then 35.47 every month after that. Also I enrolled into DREAMPRO WEBHOSTING for which i have 14 day trial for 1.95 and if i do not cancel that it is 7.50 a month. Also enrolled into GRANTLINE PROFESSIONAL which gave me a 10 day trial then they would charge me 39.95 a month and finally I was enrolled into HOME BASE ADVANTAGE which i had a 14 day trial then they would charge me 34.95 a month. I printed off the terms and conditions for both google profits and google library and started calling the number to unsubscribe. It took about 1 day for me to complete all the calls and cancel my stupidity!!! Contacted my credit card company and they stated that when i decided to do what i did that i accepted their terms and conditions and basically authorized them to charge my credit card. They said they could take care of any charges that were fraudulent however since i authorized these... By clicking the submit button... I agreed to all of this. So right now I am out 4.00 and hope that is all that will come of it... However if i did not read the terms and conditions... As you can see this could have been a very expensive lesson to learn. Please read all terms and conditions... Look for them... These people could care less about you and they will take your money if they can... Oh yeah and the reason why google library and google profits were on abc, nbc, cnn etc was because they were televising the SCAM that was behind it not because they were endorsing it like they make it appear. If this happens to you... Call them and unsubscribe to everything... Print of the terms and conditions and go thru it one by one... Most placed I called I was on hold for 1/2 hour to 45 mins before anyone answered... They want you to hang up... Don't!!! Cancel at all costs before your trial period ends... That if you know what they are up too... If you don't know... Good luck with your credit card company and you will still have to call and cancel or the charges will keep adding up!!! I wish I could reach out and touch someone right now~! Pain in the...
