I cannot speak for the products they offer, but I can speak about the business and my expereince providing services for them. If you are a business, I recommend you not provide your services to them unless you receive full payment first.
If anyone questions the validity of this claim, the completed sites / work, with initial information they provided me, is still sitting on my server along with all email documentation / corresondence between myself and several founders.
My experience over three separate projects: you will not get paid. My business was originally hired to create MyBuzzCode website. We negotiated 50% payment down, and 50% on delivery. I was paid 50% down, and on competition of project, they dropped the project all together. I was told they would send me some additional files to complete the project, however these never came, and weeks went by with no response or final payment. This project was a wash, and businesses time spent on their project did not profit.
After some time I was contacted by the owner Dennis Campbell asking if I "was on board" for another project. This time to fix up their main website PlanetBuzz.com. With hesitation I accepted and held several conversations, a few of length, and provided a new quick revision of their older website as requested... What we had labeled as "Website Lipstick". I was asked to make several changes to the initial design "lipstick", and after three revisions, well over 12 hours of work, and no payment, they again stopped communicating. I finally called and was told directly by the owner Dennis they were busy but would contact me to move forward. Yet weeks went by and no one responded. Later I found out they went with another company to complete this work, which is fine, except that they could have communicated it rather than hiding, ignoring, and not being forthcoming.
Alas this finial project, shame on me for forgiving them and trying once again to provide a good service and move forward despite their previous bad business to business practices. This time I was contacted by the president, and I explained my previous experiences with his company, and bluntly told him my hesitation in providing any services for Planet Buzz. He apologized, and promised on the spot I would be paid for this new project, but they needed me to start immediately, with a two week turn around, in which they for sure pay. Hindsight twenty-twenty, I regret this deeply, hence my time to write this report. My small business with good intent paid out of pocket for this new website development, having been assured quick turn around and payment. Likewise I extended myself further by creating business cards and slideshow templates, all with very quick turn around, assuring my word was solid and my services prompt. Unfortunately there is not mutual respect with this company.
All monies spent out of my small business pocket for this final project, it's been over 5 months now, and I have been given many excuses why they havent been ready to pay me, and it seems though the internal communication is extremely poor. I've called other individuals within the company, such as Dennis the owner, who replied to me that he didn't know what was going on!?! Again, the completed site, with initial information they provided me, is still sitting on my server.
In summary, I have work three projects and have been paid half for the first one. I have requested payment several times, and am at my end. They do not respect the time and efforts of others, do not communicate their intentions when they change, and do not have a clear business path as they have initiated and dropped each of these projects.
