We hired this person to design for us a website and paid him 50% of the cost of the project - $2,058. We started working on the project but after a short while we realized that we made a terrible mistake hiring him. The quality of the work was of very low quality, we had to go back and forth for many days working on the navigation bar alone, adjusting the design "in house" and providing him with exact instructions of how things should look like.
Finally when the navigation menu was ready we realized that Marc was a very bad choice and we decided not to continue to work with him, and started looking for an alternative. At no point Marc contacted us to see what was going on with the project and why we're not moving forward, he was "comfortable" not hearing from us. Other than the main navigation bar of the website NOTHING ELSE HAS BEEN DONE. The contract between us included the design of more than 30 different pages and templates, 3 adverts and more.
We contacted him a few months down the line to ask for a refund for the money that we paid him, we asked back for 75% of the payment and told him that he can keep the rest for the time that he did spend working on the design, an offer which was more than fair. At first he agreed to do so:
"I will look at refunding some of the project costings back to you. But I will be unable to do this until the New Year as I really do not have the funds available at this time."
As you can see, this was written to us before New Years. It is now August. We explained Marc that he did very little work for us, nowhere near 50% worth of the entire project. We contacted him dozens of times, by phone and email, and he kept promising to "deal with it soon" but he never did. His person clearly has no problem defrauding people out of money, making false promised and unfortunately he is not a very good designed.
We HIGHLY recommend that you do not do any business with this person.
