I did work on a research project for Robert Reinhart and Clarissa Rodriguez that I failed to be paid for. I had completed a couple of projects prior and was paid for those but payment began arriving later and later. When given directive in a conference call, that included Robert Reinhart and Clarissa Rodrigues, the terms and pay for the project were agreed upon and the directives were clear.
When I began this project I found that after one week the progress was going much slower than anticipated. I contacted Mr. Reinhart to again clarify my instructions and express my concern for the amount of time this project would take to complete and the cost incurred to do so. I was told me I was clear on my instructions and to continue my work.
After one month on the project I submitted the project half complete. Mr. Reinhart had instructed me regularly to continue my work during my time on the project. I have phone records that support the number of times we talked during the month I was committed to this project. I sent the data I had obtained in hopes of not delaying their project. I awaited payment for the first half of the project and planned to continue the remainder of the project with Mr. Reinharts approval. When Mr. Reinhart became almost impossible to reach I feared I would never get my hard earned money. After I pushed Mr. Reinhart on the issue I received a nasty letter from Ms. Rodriguez stating the project should have been stopped in the first ten minutes and that payment for my work was refused. I had been told repeatedly by Mr. Reinhart to continue the project and that my instructions were clear. This came as a shock because I had always received my pay and praise for my good work. These two are con-artist!
