Scam site closes your browser if you don't answer correctly

I recently replied to a craigslist add for a "job" in my area. Sounded legit at first but... You know how that ended if you spent even a small amount of time looking for work on-line in the past year-or-so in particular. I met all the "criteria" listed on the "job" posting so I sent them an e-mail and got an immediate automated response. Yep, you got it, first red flag. Next, I clicked on link to popupcareers from e-mail they sent to check out "application". This is when I realized it was a scam. You should NEVER have to check/uncheck boxes on an application divulging your willingness to further your education.

Ok... Payback time right? I went back to application and started filling out with fictional info... You waste my time & I waste yours... Two-way street is how I roll. Soooo... I get to bottom of first page for "John Smith's" application and there are three boxes waiting for "John" to pick from pertaining to his interest in furthering his education. As soon as "John" checks box stating he is NOT interested in furthering his education... A window pops up saying his browser has a "problem" and needs to close. Happens all the time right?"John" really needs a job so he tries again. Everything is fine until he tries to check box about NOT continuing his education. Same result is reached... Try to check box and browser needs to close. Can you say scam??? Sure you can. They are not intersested in you now because they can't send you anything. Go figure.

I try and give the benefit of the doubt most of the time but it is scams like these that cause me to be more alert than ever. I did some reading of other peoples complaints about this site BEFORE I filed my own.in these readings I recall someone saying something about Orlando, Florida was where this company is located. Yet another red flag... I lived in Florida for five years and can assure you it is chock full of criminals and convicts hiding out from the law because they can "get lost" in Florida

It is trully sad that people would try and scam someone using the internet. It is absolutely PATHETIC that these morons try to scam those of us needing work trying to make a legitimate living. I can't believe this "company" still exists. There are complaints going back at least a year just on this website alone.

Do yourself a favor... If you need work... Go drop off some applications in/around your hometown. Don't waste your time applying for anything that takes you to a website called popupcareers. It is most likely a scam to, at minimum, spam you with garbage from bogus sites and snail mail. I'll bet they all live in the same half-way house in/around Orlando, Florida.

I wish I was back in Florida... I'd love to pull onto their lawn, stop, rev it up, pop the clutch and leave a few victory donuts in the yard as a reminder to them that they messed with the wrong guy...
