Being out of work with no prospects on the horizon and dwindling funds I decided to check out this site. I was initially fairly wary as in the infancy of the internet around 1996 or so I signed up for some survey site that was similar and quickly learned it was just a way to collect marketing information and very very difficult to make any money. It still is.
I learned of the site when I was surfing some blogs, and read some guys post who had a picture of a real check he got from the company for around 60 dollars. Thought huh doesnt sound too bad and checked it out, he even linked to it (NOTE: This is the only way I believe to make any real money from cash crate, if you become an affiliate and refer people to the site by creating a blog or something similar to shill for them)
So I start taking surveys, which aren't surveys at all. It will involve you getting carpel tunnel from clicking no repeatedly to complete the "survey". You will have to at the very least on almost all of these surveys give out a valid email and phone number. Some of these offers deceptively hide terms and conditions that if you click the submit button to continue which is VERY obvious on the page not the no thanks / opt out button (very small) you'll be agreeing to having your phone bill billed, getting a ton of spam email (I set up a seperate brand new email because i knew this would happen - approx 400 spam emails in 3 days) and telemarketing calls (about 6 a day for medical insurance which are continuing told the very first one i answered in no uncertain terms to place me on their do not call list, and also whenever you do that also request that they do not sell your info to other companies and take off mailings (snail) also) and that was 4 days ago and they are still calling. And the majority of these companies will never report back that you completed the survey and you never get paid for it. I have reviewed their forums and they have tags about how to complete the surveys correctly etc. I followed all the advice i could find to a tee. Redid some of them. Still have over 30 dollars pending. Only a measly 5.50 have cleared and you need at least 20 to get paid.
Also warning this board and especially they're boards are full of their own employees or affiliates making posts about how great it is. Their forums are laughable, with posts like "I made 30 some dollars today!" (note: impossible unless you just joined and took the highest pay out offers which involve you giving out cc information and signing up for free trials which i'm sure result in immediate billing to your cc for a service you don't want) or "I made $260 dollars last month!" (also impossible unless you have somehow managed to create a very highly trafficked and search engine indexed referral site). Cash crate stays above all this supposedly by only referring you to affiliate sites.
So in conclusion, cash crate is great for people who enjoy working for way way way below minimum wage (I'm talking like a dollar an hour at best), spam email, telemarketing calls! Also of note: I try very hard to keep my computer safe from malware and almost all of these "surveys" require numerous scripts and one of them tried to load a trojan downloader on to my pc, very nice of them.
