There seem to be too many reports that are either all good or all bad. Mine is in between, but I'm not very happy with Cash Crate.
I have been paid by Cash Crate. If you get enough offers to confirm to meet the minimum payout they do send you a check.in this way the company is not a scam.
The problem is with how they make you earn your money or points. You are required to give out personal information. They provide seemingly innocuous instructions on offers, such as "Download and install the game, " for example. They do not tell you that the game will have bundled software, a majority of which is malware that may require a program (Malwarebytes or SpyBot) to remove. I typically run all of these installations in a virtual machine.
Also, you will complete "surveys" which are really just a bombardment of advertising and forms for personal information. Many pages are highly deceptive and may constitute fraud, such as having a skip button so small that an older person could not see it on a page where they have entered their cell phone number, or it has been autofilled for them based on prior input. They would subsequently see charges on their cell phone bill which they in all honesty did not consent to.
Thankfully I'm young and an IT genius so they've never actually scammed me or ruined my computer, but what they've made from my information and work is far more than what I've been paid. So I have to say they are a Ripoff, and I would not recommend the site.
