EDPS Online Warehouse - Elissa Darrow-Eystad Theft & Fraud. Company takes money, doesn't ship order, gives runaround & lies

On February 17, I placed an online order with EDPS and paid for Priority Mail shipping. I received a confirmation email from the owner, Elissa Darrow-Eystad, that evening stating that my order would be shipped the following day.

On February 19, my credit card showed that the order had been charged to my account.

On February 26,27 and March 2, I contacted EDPS via the EDPS website's contact form, as well as sending emails to the owner's email address and the email address given on their website to inform them that the order still had not arrived and to request shipment tracking information. I received no response to any of the emails.

I also tried contacting EDPS by phone, but the number posted on their website has been disconnected. I then called Elissa Darrow-Eystad's other company located in Pitman, NJ, Ladybug Candies. On two occasions I left voice mail messages with my name, phone number, reference to order number and a request for a return call. There has been no response.

On March 14, I contacted EDPS via the same electronic venues to let them know that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau, their local Chamber of Commerce (of which they are a member) and the United States Postal Service to report fraud and theft.

That message generated a response from a Dan (no last name or position with the company given), claiming to know nothing of my contacts with EDPS and stating that the order had been shipped. He said that he would check with the post office and get back to me by the following afternoon.

Two days later I received the following message from him:

Your order has been updated to the following status.

New status: Processing

Please reply to this email if you have any questions.

On March 22 the order still had not arrived, and I sent the following message:
Dan,

Please provide your last name and title/position with EDPS as well as the information found on the receipt you received from the USPS when the shipment was made.

The employees at our local post office are unaware of any contact made by EDPS or a representative thereof, and they are unable to look into the matter without the shipping information provided on the receipt.

There seems to be a problem with the second shipment, also. You wrote that it would be shipped on March 17. As you recall, I paid for Priority Mail shipping, which generally takes two to three days. As it has not arrived, USPS will track it as well once you have provided the necessary information.

Credit has not yet been received for the mouse pads and coaster blanks. Please provide an exact date when the amount for these items will be refunded. It will not be necessary for them to be re-billed and shipped to me at a later time. This one transaction has wasted an enormous amount of time and effort, and the occasions for which they were being purchased to make into gifts have already passed.

If the in-stock items have not actually been shipped, it would be better for all concerned to simply refund the entire purchase price.

Today is March 24, and I still have not received the order that I paid for or a response from Dan or any other employee of EDPS with shipment information.

In addition to filing this complaint, I am filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey and notifying the Greater Pitman Chamber of Commerce, of which EDPS is a member. All information and correspondence associated with this is also being sent to four of the newspapers in the area of New Jersey where EDPS is located.

According to the BBB of New Jersey, seven other complaints have been filed with them against EDPS. If only I had checked with them and complaint BEFORE placing my order with the thieves that pose as EDPS!
