I am a player of both Second Life and Wow and because I prefer to not use paypal, I wanted to try a website that offered multiple payment sources. When I found www.gameim.com I went to the 24 hour support chat and talked to a support agent Sue who told me that yes they did currently have the Second Life Currency available.
I paid approximately 19.32 for 2 orders of 4,000 Second Life Lindens (Dollars). I was told that it would take up to 48 hours to receive my Linden on the Second Life game.
After 48 hours I had not received my currency so I contacted customer support again and was then told by someone named Anna that they actually did NOT have Linden. I then requested a refund.
On the website it says as of 3/18/09 that in order to receive a refund for non-payment I must contact the 24 hour chat support. I was then told by another support agent Tina that she was not allowed to give me a refund.
Tina then closed the chat and ignored my request for support or a refund or some sort of acknowledgment. I simply asked her to please give me the number of the owner of the company or someone that can just give me a refund. I wasn't completely upset because it was a gift card mastercard that I had used so they couldn't steal anything more than the other $5 that was left on the card.
The problem is that no one wanted to admit that they are simply taking my $19.32 and walking away with it. I have called the support number numerous times where I either get hung up on or they don't answer at all. Now when I get on the 24 hour chat they simply say "oh it's you again?" and close out the chat window.
This isn't about $20. This is about people knowing NOT to go with this company because they obviously have no problem taking your money and running away with it.
