I won an ebay auction which was listed by the seller OhIsIt. I paid immediately in full via PayPal. The item arrived on time, in whole, on Friday March 6. The problem - It was the wrong item.

The item listed was an Asus P5LD2 motherboard. I received a P5LD2 SE v1.1. After several e-mails and messages to the company to no avail I started a dispute over Paypal. Upon escalating it to a CLAIM the next week I was finally contacted by their sales dept who instructed me that I was to apply for an RMA number.

After repeatedly telling the sales department correspondent that I received the wrong item and that I needed to return it, they assured me that by filling out the RMA form and leaving a note in the field I would be able to receive a refund. The problem is... Their website explicitly states that they wont refund ebay purchases, and that they will only RMA at the buyer's expense. On top of that, they claim that any RMA item will be tested and either re-stocked (for a fee) OR shipped back to the buyer at their expense. I explained my concerns to not only the sales dept but also their RMA representative. I have received no replies from either of them on the matter.

This poses quite a predicament, because I am unable to return their item on my own due to financial reasons. After several more e-mails I was assured that I could return the item for a full refund. But they are yet to provide me with a way to ship it to them in the form of a prepaid box or a shipping label.

Tired of their poor communication, slow responses and unwillingness to assist me I have folded and I am waiting for my paypal claim to come to an end. I don't see why I should have to pay for their mistake in listing or shipping me the wrong item, whatever it may be. It's very frustrating to be on this end of the error and at the same time receive no support whatsoever. They're making absolutely zero attempt to rectify their error and I will be posting my complaints where-ever I can, including to the BBB.
