Sms4gamecheats, SGC Web Servicessms4gamecheats, SGC Web Access Plussms4gamecheats, Go Live Mobilesms4gamecheats, DOES NOT confirm subscription charges on cellphone

SMS4GameCheats.com uses bad advertising methods to lure unsuspecting victims into signing up for services that they have no clue what they are.

Recently my girlfriends mother was searching for directions on what she thought was Google Maps.

After pushing Search for the directions a random popup asked for a cellphone number to continue. Appearing legitimate by her standards (not the best internet user) she asked for my girlfriends cellphone number so that she could continue with the directions.

That's all it took.

Soon after, I noticed a $9.99 charge for Premium Text Messaging on my phone. A SINGLE text message that my girlfriend received after her mother put in her number did not ask to confirm back for any subscription and just stated..."Your password is such and such, blah blah blah" (Nothing about confirming anything or stopping anything). Needless to say, she told her mother to stop clicking whatever she was clicking and deleted the message.

It's that simple.

SMS4GameCheats can easily deceive people into entering A cellphone number... Not necessarily THEIR cellphone number... On what was believed to be a legitimate site.

I'm under the impression that her mother has some sort of Spyware/Malware on the computer that caused the browser hijacking, but I have not yet seen the computer. I will be reviewing the computer within the next week or two and will update this Report.

I have spoken with Verizon Wireless, who advised me that some of these types of things can be spam, and that... Unknowingly can sign you up for these charges and it is best to put a block on the line... Which I've done... Disabling me from any other legitimate Premium Messages (which I don't sign up for anyway).

But the fact of the matter is - The company is allowed to charge random cellphone numbers, by simply acquiring the number from a web form that the owner of the cellphone may not even know about!

If that's the case, I can go to sms4gamecheats.com and signup any enemy's cellphone number and have their bill charged $10. It's absolutely absurd.

The 1800 number for the company has received unpopularized complaints on the following website:
http://800notes.com/Phone. Aspx/1-877-244-7035

The shortcode in question is: 99502.

I spoke with a gentlemen named "Oscar" when calling the 1877 number, who told me the subscription had already been canceled. (Probably due to my diligence with Verizon Wireless)... Whom of which, was very short with me and did not understand my reason for dispute... But instead asked me to "Fax a cellphone bill in and we would look into it".

I believe is the parent company offering "Oscar" or sms4gamecheats the ability to offer "Premium Text Message Subscriptions"- I'll be emailing them shortly with a link to this site and a complaint in full...
After speaking with their Online Chat representative.
