Like many others, I ordered (Toyglobe-246292) a hard to get item that was reported as "in stock" on their web site early in November in time for Christmas. Toyglobe sent an automated email the following day indicating that my order was accepted, that I was billed for the in-stock items and that my order would be shipped within 10 days (hmmm 10 days to pull a package off a shelf and ship it).

Also like many others, a couple weeks later when my order did not arrive I contacted them using the online form. Two days later, "John" replied via email and indicated that one of the "in-stock" items was back ordered which I guess makes a new stock classification "virtual in-stock" which Toyglobe appears to use.in any event he promised that my order was shipping and that I would receive it within 5 days.

I guess I should have sought clarification, 5 days but how many months, years? Toyglobe stopped responding to any online requests, and their phone line's voice mail box is always full. Two months after the promise that the product would be in my hands in five days I contacted my bank. Fortunately Canadian Credit Card rules protect consumers from fraudulent transactions and I am processing a reversal via my bank. If more consumers were to follow this path Toyglobe would lose their ability to directly charge credit cards.
