Elance And Payoneer Payment Systems
High fees, non-disclosure by Elance of terms, huge transfer times, feels more like a scam than anything else

I have serious concerns about Elance and their Payoneer debit mastercard service.

And before I took the time to come out here and report it I have tried for 3 weeks to get ahold of someone at Elance or Payoneer to try and resolve my issues.

Payoneer tells me to talk to Elance and Elance won't talk to me at all. I have tried emailing them, calling them and leaving messages. Elance simply won't reply.

I posted up my problem on this blog thing that Elance has and it got deleted. So I guess they don't want other people knowing about the problems.

I am fed up.

I got tired of waiting a week or more for money on jobs that I have done to go to my bank account. Supposed to be 5 days max but sometimes it has taken up to 14 days.

So I signed up for their Payoneer debit card. Supposed to transfer your $ to the card and you use it just like a credit card. I knew there were some fees up front. You have to pay each time you transfer to it, each time you use it, when you get it, there are min. Fees too - it's EXTREMELY COSTLY so you are paying for convienence... I thought...

I have transferred $ to it 3 times

1st time it took 10 days, the second transfer I will mention in a second, the third transfer took 9 days. This thing is supposed to transfer the funds in 48 hours. The second transfer has been over 14 days and still hasn't gone through. It's absurd.

I have had the card twice declined while eating out and then I check and there are sufficient funds on it. You can't seem to use it for rental reservations and it doesn't work at the gas pump (where you just slide and pump) - you have to go in an pre-pay like cash customers. If you order something online and use the card as a deposit it is declined. Everytime I use it at Walmart they ask for a photo ID. They never ask for it on any other card or my regular debit card.

This really just feels like a scam for Elance to make more money off the providers.
