I went on line being a total ammature at seeking grant money for college, I googled some companies and this one came up. I logged on to get a 1.98 cd plus shipping to learn more about how I can apply for a grant. This site offered two additional trial memberships that you have to take part in before you continue. So, I did. I wrote the 1800 numbers down to call and cancel the memberships and when I reached a young lady she said, I could cancel the three memeberships with her.
I specifically ask, "Do I have to contact these other numbers and cancel as well?" She replied, "No, we are a national trial membership center and I can take of that for you." I assumed it was done. A week later this company Grant Search Center bills my husbands account for 59.99. When I contacted them to tell them I cancelled this membership they said, "they have no record of that cancellation and could do it today." Needless to say, "we have your damn money and you can't get it back!"
I contacted my bank and was unable to do a stop payment due to (point of sale transaction). Please people be aware that Grant Search Center relies on the disturbing other trial memberships to destract you and confuse you so that their membership can get you for 59.99. Make sure you cancel with Grant Search Center at 1-866-528-6550 ASAP. The next day if possible... Don't let them rip you off too.
