I purchased and downloaded software that was suppose to speed up my computer, after seeing an ad on TV.
My computer since the moment I installed the program, has never been slower! I can't even type, on or off line in any program or email, without having to stop and let the letters on screen catch up to my hunt and peck, one finger on each hand, typing. It can take from 15-20 seconds or as much as several minutes for this to happen.
Just trying to scroll down a page can take excessive amounts of time. To load a web-site can take 10 or more minutes. Ten times longer than before the software entered my system.
They supposedly set a point in my computer that I was suppose to be able to return my computer to what it was prior to downloading. This feature did not work! And the built in Windows program to 'restore' also will not go back beyond the date I downloaded SpeedScan.
My computer freezes up several or more times a day, I loose data, and emails won't send properly. And it can take days if ever to find out the email was not sent.
They in essence RUINED my computer!
They did respond to an email I sent them requesting that they refund my money and that they help me restore my computer. They said they had refunded the money to my bank accnt, but I have no knowledge as yet that they did. I will know when I get my bank statement this month.
However, they offered no help in fixing my computer. I am Wroth with anger and will never do any business with this company again. Using my computer has become a chore rather than an asset.
