I purchased a IBuyPower Gamer 941-GL Intel Q6600/3/500/DVDRW/VHP gaming computer on 8/28/08 through TigerDirect.com. On top of this, this computer came with a 1-year manufacturers warranty and I purchased another 2-year warranty as well. On January 3rd the computer could not boot-up up the gpu screen which is a tell-tale sign that he duo geforce 8800's were dead. The following Monday I contacted IBuyPower where I spoke to a Grammy, Mark, and a Luke and was told to send an Email to their [email protected] and then I would get directions to have the system fixed. Not one Email was ever replied to. I have left them several messages (seems like they let all calls go to voice mail) and not one returned. Frustrated, I filled a Better Business Bureau report and guess what IBuyPower's response was: The customer PURCHASED the computer from TigerDirect.com. He paid them for a computer that they advertised on their website. So shouldn't any unsatisified comments be complained through their website and not ours? Initial Response Summay: The customer did nto buy the machine from our company. The funny thing is that the computer was shipped to me by IBuyPower.
So now I am wrestling with TigerDirect.com regarding this because they too are being very difficult regarding this. I have been dealing with Bernard Austin and he is NOT responsive to Email or returning voice mails. I finally got a hold of Bob Kennedy at TIgerDirect and we shall see what TigerDirect is going to do for me. Otherwise, I have spent $2400 on a computer that lasted 4 months. If someone knows anyone that can show some professionalism and get things done either company... Please help!
IbuyPower now has a negative BBB complaint on their record and a Texas and California Attorney Generals complaint heading at them presently. I would hate to go through this process with TigerDirect as well since I have been a customer of theirs since 2006.
