These people call you to "verify ino on your free online listing". They trick you (or an unsuspecting employee) into thinking this is something you are already subscribing to. Then they send you a bill for approx $500. We got different amounts from different people. When you refuse to pay they send you to "collections" which is actually an in-house dept who then harasses you for months threatening leagal action.
I researched this company and found out their website is a front only active since April and they've already had 28 complaints thru the BBB. The address they give is actually a mail drop in the US as this "company" is located in Ontario Canada. If you go to the legitimate Yellow pages website they have a whole page on this company. Yellowpagesonline.com (NOte the lack of a dash in the legit site?)
After several months and many threats of collestions and legal action these people FINALLY left us alone see the following letter from the upstate NY BBB

Thank you for contacting the Better Business Bureau regarding your complaint with the above mentioned company. The company you complained about is one of dozens of companies using mail drop addresses in Upstate New York to market in the United States. To the best of our knowledge, this firm is located in Canada.
The majority of the complaints we receive on these Canadian firms involve harassing faxes and phone calls requesting payment for an unsolicited product or listing. Although the BBB cannot guarantee that it won't happen, the Better Business Bureau has never heard of a company's credit being damaged for failure to pay for an unsolicited invoice. The collection agencies employed by these companies are usually their own.
The BBB will send a copy of your complaint to the company. Copies of your complaint will also be forwarded on to the proper regulatory agencies.
The BBB feels confident in advising you to ignore their request for payment. However, if you have concerns, you may wish to seek the advice of your attorney before making your decision.
