I needed to get my credit report, which now seems nearly impossible without getting bombarded with monthly credit monitoring. Anyway I paid for and recieved my report and thought I had successfully passed all the credit monitoring stuff, but to my surprise, when I checked my checking statement there was a deduction for $29.95 from Primary Identity! What was that? I did some checking on the net and found it was on the same web page that I ordered my credit report! I emailed and cancelled the account, they sent me a confirmation #. I thought all was good and wham heres the charge again this month. What is going on? At first I was thinking that this should be a safety thing, you know credit monitoring, but now I am thinking they are ripping me off and have access to my credit report! Thats scary. What do I do? How can you protect yourself from rip off companies like this?
