Alyon spams you and downloads invisible auto dialers and programs to your computer without your concent. (We said no to the pop up window install), though unknown to us it installed itself in a hidden manner.
When we booted the computer in the morning, at 5 am, on a dial up connection, we connected to the internet as usuall, though somehow their program (hidding in the dark) started billing us at $4.99 per minute. The company offers no support or contact numbers to dispute the charges and forces you to respond by mail (certified is suggested to verify receipt).
Though I identified the program and removed it from the computer, it somehow managed to reinstall itself time and time again. I believe this is accomplished via email spams. It should be noted this was my mothers computer (65 plus years old).
Obviously she had no intentions of paying for some porn service at $4.99 per minute. We have heard no responce from them other then they have sent the same 4 page document describing their billing practices and how they are "legally binding".
Its been a rough year, being the honest person that I am, I could not be so deceitfull and disshonest as they are. America Online just managed to rip us off for a few hundred, my brother had cancer, numerious operations, radiation treatment, then shattered both legs after the fact, 36 pins and a few dozen screws, all the while I am trying to pay bills and make ends meet. We need an internet forum like this one, expanded with the capitol and ability to monitor and follow thru with the procecution of such.
