Will not let you cancel your web hosting

I have been trying to cancel my website hosting with this company for two weeks. When you call the number they provide to cancel, and they WILL NOT accept cancellations by email, all you get is music—no one at all to talk to. This seems like a very deceptive practice to me, and in effect, this company will continue to charge me every month to host a website that is now being hosted somewhere else. I cannot seem to do anything to get them to cancel my hosting contract and am out of ideas about how to prevent getting ripped off for any more hosting.

I need somebody's help in making this company, Web.com, cancel my account. Thank you.
