I went to Snapfish.com to order some prints of some photographs. They were running a special that I heard about, so I joined the website and uploaded some pictures. After uploading and getting ready to submit the order, I realized that the shipping costs were too much (in my opinion), so I did not place the order and deleted the whole order.
The next day I checked my bank account and realized Snapfish.com had taking $1 out of my checking account! I called them and demanded that they give me back my money and I told them I did not appreciate them stealing my bank account information and stealing my money! They told me that they were sorry and they would credit me back the $1. I asked them what they thought they were doing by stealing my information. They insisted that privacy is their utmost priority and that they only had the last 4 digits of my account. I told them that I didn't care how many numbers they had—that it didn't matter, since they were still able to access my account! They tried to tell me that the reason they took $1 is beacause they charge when someone updates any personal information on their snapfish account. I told them that was b.S., because I was "Updating" anything, but simply joining for the first time their website.
Anyway, I realize this was only $1, but it is the principle that they did NOT ask me or inform me of this. I think they were simply hoping peoeple did not check their accounts. I mean think of how quickly $1 per/person adds up! What a RIPOFF!
