The most dishonest company I have ever dealt with! Fatal mistake purchasing very first computer via Shop NBC ripoff

Like thousands of others, I made the fatal mistake of purchasing my very first computer via Shop NBC. The computer offered was built by Viscom Technology and is called the V2 Premier. I was soooooo excited when my computer arrived. The boxes it arrived in, and the packing material were impressive.

As indicated on the television ad, the computer was easy to set up, especially with the color coded connections. The first problem I had, was hooking up the speakers. The pale green jack could fit in three different locations on the back of the computer.

I found out (via a call to Viscom) that I placed the jack in the wrong location. I appreciated their help, and figured that I'm ready to use the computer. I rapidly found out that, like others, the programs were NOT installed, or better yet, you needed to make a payment via credit card in order to unlock the programs in order to use them!!!

Within two weeks, the modem stopped working. It took six weeks to get a repair person to my house to replace the part. About three weeks after the repair, the printer quit. I was sent an updated program disk. The printer STILL does not work properly - paper jams all the time, paper enters the machine off center, and goes through ink like it's water.

I have NEVER been able to use the camera - the program doesn't work, and EZCam company wants thirty dollars to discuss the problem. I am unable to run a number of programs, either installed at the factory or purchased via the internet. The keyboard constantly sticks or even skips letters. The mouse does not work the majority of the time. When ever I call the company, I luck out getting "technical support" from a person that is unable to speak or understand English!!!

Within the first 10 months of ownership of this wonderful piece of trash, the modem has been replaced twice, and the hard drive once. I figured that since I have had so many problems with this machine, I had better take out their extended warantee plan, to give me two more years of protection.

Since renewing, I have had to call them 15 times about a variety of items. Lately, I keep getting an error message "fatal application", what ever that means. I have used the internet help site, requesting assistance, many times, with NO response EVER from the company. I have too much money and time invested in this machine to just chuck it out. Can anyone help me?
