I appreciate people feeling that soldiers and families should get some sort of break in order to keep in contact (in response to Military mama's statement) with deployed loved ones. My problem with Allegiance isn't that they charge what seems to be an awful lot for their service, it's that the service is SO POOR! It's a true statement that here on Ft. Riley we have one choice for cable television. However, just recently we've been able to get satellite tv services and that's been great. At least there's some competition here. But the service from Allegiance is terrible. Part of it might be that the homes are old in many areas, especially where I live, but when I'm having to actually call the 24-hour service line 4 and 5 times a day to get them to reset my computer during the spring season, storms seem to kick us off our internet often, and reset my internet connection at least (and I do mean at the very least) 10 times per day myself just to be able to access the Internet I think I have a right to demand that I get repairs or at least some sort of financial assistance on my bill. I mean, if you someone went to a restaraunt and received only 75% of what they expected for a meal, they shouldn't have to pay full price. I'm getting service maybe 75% of the time, and I do call in to let them know, but I still have to pay for service as if I got it 100% of the time. The option has long been to go without. Thank goodness that there's a little competition now because Allegiance has long shown a disregard for their customers! We're changing at the earliest opportunity and I'm hoping that the new company doesn't show the same disregard that we've had to deal with for so long.
