In beleiving I might find some useful information to find a lost relative I signed up for Ancestry. Coms quarterly access for $19.95.
In less than an hour I discovered nothing of any use and found nothing that I had not already seen without paying.
I sent and email and they said I had to call. I did and they said they would credit my credit card and would confirm via email within 7-10 days.
After no word for two weeks, I sent another email asking about the credit.
They said once again that they had cancelled my account but did not even address the question re the credit. I sent another email which they did not respond to.
So I called, stayed on hold for 20 minutes and now they say there are no credits for quarterly accounts. So, they cancelled my account at my request, said they would give me a credit and now have changed their mind.
They have rendered no useful service to me but still want to keep my $19.95!
Shame on them!
