Received my AT&T phone bill, noticed that the amount due was higher than usual, noticed a charge in the amount of $14.95 in the "Enhanced Services" section of my phone bill. "What the H*ll is this?" I asked myself. I called the company spoke with a CSR, told him I don't know what the h*ll this charge is for or even what your company is about -
He proceeds to tell me that their company allows a person to sign up for their services through their website and commence billing just by entering a phone number on their web site. The person that is signing up for their services could enter in anyones phone number, YOUR phone number; and then YOU would be billed through your phone service provider (as I was) for services that SOMEONE ELSE signed up for. There is no verification whatsoever!!!
So, long story short, in my situation someone did this exact thing to me - signed up with his name, typed in my phone number - and this piece of sh! T company proceeds to bill me for services that some d! Ckhead signed up for, using my phone number. COMPLETE AND TOTAL FRAUD!!!
After talking with the CSR I spoke to, he assured me that they will block my account from future billings and refund the amount that was charged to me, back to my phone company, and I will receive a credit within 48 hours. Okay, fine, although I am still pissed off that they could even allow this to happen, I guess it's a resolution...
Next month comes, and guess what? On my AT&T phone bill is ANOTHER charge in the amount of $14.95 for enhanced services to Oneemailaday LLC!!! I call back, speak to a supervisor named RIA (her phone number is 213-443-0428 which is, by the way, a Los Angeles area code - not New Jersey, where they state they're located), she gives me the same line of BS - Oh we're sorry, we'll block your account, credit your phone company within 48 hours. And that's where I stand with them now.
I WILL be calling AT&T in 48 hours and making sure there is a credit on my account for $29.90 and have them block Oneemailaday LLC from making any future charges to my account, otherwise I'm calling my attorney and he's a pitbull...
